In a context where all presumed that the Socceroos were sure to qualify, the FFA adopted an unorthodox strategy in order to rally audiences to the World Cup Qualifying Series matches:  to promote the opposition as fierce adversaries capable of knocking Australia out. Over the course of campaign, the videos scored over 1.2 million hits on YouTube.  The Campaign picked up Gold in the Integrated Category at New York's John Caples Awards 2009.
